VARIATIONS is a digital music library system in place
at Indiana University providing on-demand access to over 7000 digitized sound
recording titles comprising over 8000 hours of music to users within
the Indiana University Cook Music Library.
Sound recordings are streamed from an IBM VideoCharger server at Indiana University.
In the new Digital Music Library project, IU
is experimenting with score image and sound recording access over
high-speed wide area networks.
Access to items in VARIATIONS is provided through a combination
of course
