The belt was cast, hammered, soldered, riveted, and cut.
Inlay (turquoise), Polished
The belt is in good condition with a few minor issues. The leather is worn from use, there are a few chips in the turquoise stones, the silver is tarnished a fair amount and there is a good amount of verdigris on the metal as well.
Comments Object History
Barbara Hanawalt and her brother purchased this at a pawn shop in the 1950s era for $50. She was wearing it in Boulder when an anthropologist offered to buy it.
