Description
Tan, shallow rounded rectangular basket. The flat base has four rounded square corners. Twill plaited in the pattern of over two, under two of 1/2” wide split palmetto stems. The sides flare out into a curved rim. The rim is finished with a coil of narrow split palmetto stems, fully wrapped with a 1/2” wide split palmetto stem. This coil is attached to the right top edge of the basket with a wrapped 1/4” wide split palmetto stem that catches the top horizontal row of plaited split palmetto stems. The tops of the vertical split palmetto stems are either cut flush or tucked into the attached coil. Four inches of the coiled rim is broken off and missing.
