Partnering with the Digital Library Program on a digital library project happens in many ways, but the primary vehicle for proposing new digital library collections is through our semi-annual call for project proposals. Indiana University affiliates are encouraged to submit proposals according to the project proposal guidelines using the project proposal application form. Areas covered by the application form include: project description, significance of collection, description of materials, access requirements, description of current and potential users, and copyright status. DLP staff members are available to consult with you about your project or to help you with the application process.
Completed applications must be submitted via email to DLP_PROJECTS-L@INDIANA.EDU by the announced deadline.
We are not accepting proposals at the moment.
Indiana University affiliates across all campuses associated with any of the following areas are welcome to submit a proposal. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, but are unsure if you are eligible, please contact Stacy Kowlaczyk for additional information.
Upon submission, the proposals first undergo technical review by Digital Library Program staff followed by a holistic review and prioritization by members of the Digital Projects Review Committee. Assessment is based on a pre-established criteria matrix, which is consulted during both phases of the review process. The Digital Projects Review Committee will determine the overall strategic importance of the projects and they will rank project proposals accordingly. The Digital Library Program will use the ranked list to help plan its work.
