Light brown wooden stickball stick
Description
Light brown wooden stickball stick. Stick is formed from two pieces of Cyprus wood fastened together with deer hide cord, and warped at the top to form a hoop for a net. The handles are the longest part of the stickball stick at 24”L. The net is 6” W, and 9”L. The net of the stick is made from deer hide cord fastened through holes in the loop and knotted in the middle. The net is different with larger spaces between the hide than the Cherokee or other Southeastern tribes style. This is because Seminole stickball balls are wider and easier to catch with a larger net. This is exclusive of the Florida Seminole. Stick is in good condition with damage to the hoop.
