Route to Manitoulin
Elinor and Vincent collected art and artifacts from around the world, with special interest in both traditional and contemporary work by North American Indians. These collections filled their Bloomington home. Almost every summer from 1967-2008 they drove to Manitoulin Island, Canada. Here they were able to write and build their collection of Ojibwe art. The Ostroms left their collections to Indiana University following their deaths in 2012.
